Tempus

Privacy

Two short policies: one for Tempus itself, one for the Chrome extension.

Tempus

Tempus holds what you put into it: your agency's clients, projects, people, time entries and invoices, and the documents you attach to invoices. It is used to run the service for your agency and for nothing else. There is no analytics or advertising in it, and nothing is sold or shared with third parties.

Two outside services are involved, each for one job: Resend delivers email (sign-in codes, invitations, invoice reminders) and Stripe hosts payment pages and tells Tempus when an invoice is paid. Each sees only what its job needs. Uploaded files stay on the server Tempus runs on.

The owner of an agency's account can remove any member, and can ask for the account to be deleted by emailing the address below.

Tempus Timer — the Chrome extension

Tempus Timer is a browser extension for the Tempus time-tracking application.

What it stores

Two things, and only on the computer it is installed on: the address of your Tempus account, and an API token you create in Tempus. Both live in the browser's local extension storage. Neither is put in Chrome's synced storage, so neither is copied to your other machines or held in your Google account. Forget these on the extension's options page deletes both.

What it sends, and where

Requests go to one place: the Tempus address you entered. They carry your API token and the time entries you start, stop, log or correct. Nothing is sent to the extension's authors or to anyone else.

What it collects

Nothing. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifier and no third-party service of any kind in the extension.

Who can see your data

Your Tempus account holds your time entries and is governed by the terms of whoever runs it — for a self-hosted install, that is your own agency.

Revoking access

Delete the token in Tempus under API tokens and the extension stops working immediately, whatever is stored on any machine.
